Overview

Patricia is an associate within the Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) groups. Her practice focuses on both litigation and contractual work, with an emphasis on clean technologies and food innovations.

Patricia has particular knowledge of the intellectual property legislative and regulatory landscape. She sees IP as more than obtaining, registering or using patents, trademarks or copyrights; it is a way to advance knowledge, obtain return on investment, finance further innovation, ensure business continuity and profitability. Patricia advises clients on how to manage and leverage these valuable assets.

Patricia takes an active interest in sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and environmental initiatives. She is actively involved in these spheres, as an adviser but also as an advocate, a volunteer, a spokesperson. Her philosophy in this respect is proactive, positive, and forward-looking.

Patricia also acts on behalf of some of the largest media companies in Canada in matters related to freedom of the press and freedom of speech.
