Overview

Jordan Thompson is a partner providing labour, employment and human rights advice in Fasken’s Surrey and Vancouver offices.

Jordan leverages his previous management experience to effectively understand the needs and issues that face his clients, with a focus on providing cost-effective, practical and timely advice. Jordan’s emphasis is on providing clients with proactive advice with a goal of limiting risk and reducing costs while maintaining positive employer and employee relations. In order to fulfill these goals, Jordan provides clients with pragmatic advice in forming and ending employment relationships, collective bargaining, and navigating complex issues such as workplace accommodation.

When litigation is necessary or unavoidable, Jordan has experience in representing clients in labour arbitrations, human rights complaint, WorkSafeBC matters, and in the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia.

Jordan also regularly provides employment and labour advice to vendors and purchasers in a variety of commercial transactions.
